The three sisters to the tomb lake
My introduction to the International Sender of the Apalaches (IAT) was quite great. This morning, Trail quickly became a wide ATV track and then, after a while, he transformed again into Grave Road. About six miles later, entering the town of Saint-Vianney, changed to a quiet asphalt road through the city center. For some, perhaps the presence of the road takes away the IAT prestige, but it was totally well and even in favor of it today.
I have mentioned my struggles several times to reserve camps. Well, I made another hose. Last night, when I looked Faraout, I realized that instead of 13.7 miles with 3,800 feet of ascent that I was thinking, it showed that reaching my reserved site was actually closer to 31.4 miles with 5,200 feet ascent. And, I had just filled with a load of food. Yes, it is not a great situation.
However, also in my store last night, I found some alternative maneuvers that would reduce the great mileage. And so, I thought I would give him a chance and try to do it. I had a long day, but I thought the next morning, maybe I could sleep or something.
In Saint-Vianney, there is a small convenience store. When I arrived I was closed, it did not open until 8:00 am, however, there was a park on the other side of the street, so I plugged my phone and stayed to wait. Mainly, I wanted to verify the fuel of the stove again. And maybe he also gets a gift, of course.
It was a little break. Just around 8:00 am, I walked to the store. There was no stove fuel, but I got a small dough that was delicious. Leaving Saint V, instead of following the path, I chose to walk by road. This led me to the powerful Matane River, where I connected with the IAT. After a little more on the way, they invited me to a lovely walk by the river.
The river took me to the John, Quebec, which houses a ranger station for the Matane Wildlife Reserve, also known as Réserve Faunique de Matane. This was something unexpected for me. I saw the icon in the application, but I did not know what it implied. Therefore, I was excited to discover that they had a cold soda that I could buy and participate.
I changed it today and went with a refreshing Lima 7-Up. There was a small cenor closed with a picnic table and an exit too. A perfect place for early lunch. I was sure to be efficient with my time due to my big day, but this little more load was key to my next great section of desert.

It can also notice … «MAP-O-SPRAD». Instead of obtaining a giant honey bottle or heavy gelatin or jam jug, I thought about trying these things to combine with my peanut butter wraps. I am not a great boy with a solo PB.
After the John, I got more river walking before starting the steep Chic-Choc mountains that cover the Matane Wildlife Reserve.
Then it depended on Mont Charles-e.-Vezina …
I really was digging it, but I got tired and still had about 11 miles to travel.
I arrived at Lake Tombereau and the shelter around 6:30 pm seemed to have the place for me. After filling the water from the lake and taking some photos and videos, I started filtering water, cooking dinner and fixing my sleep configuration …
I was quite impressed with the shelter and its stage next to the lake. After the long day, the dream came quickly. They pumped me that at least the mileage, tomorrow should be a good business.
