Eder Militao opened the score for 22 minutes in the game with a distance screamer, while Mbappe buried the second from outside the box early in the second half.
Madrid is five points free from second place champion Barcelona, which organizes Getafe on Sunday.

Vinicius hit the post after Espanyol’s Serbian goalkeeper made a great double salvation from Mbappe.
Alonso brought Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga for their first games of the season in the last phases of a comfortable afternoon for Real Madrid.
