Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe will miss this week’s Spanish Super Cup as he recovers from a knee sprain.
The Spanish giants did not include the French superstar, the team’s top scorer, in their squad for the tournament in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
Mbappe was diagnosed with the problem last week, with a source close to the 27-year-old saying so AFP he would probably be sidelined for at least three weeks.

Xabi Alonso’s team will face city rivals Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals on Thursday, while Barcelona will face Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday.
The Spanish coach is under pressure after a disappointing start to the season, with his team four points behind champions Barca in La Liga.
