Lautaro Martinez and Lionel Messi scored and assisted one goal each to help Argentina beat Angola 2-0 on Friday in an international friendly at the November 11 stadium in Luanda.
The Inter Milan striker fired in a low shot from a tight angle in the 43rd minute after being met by Messi’s through ball to help La Albiceleste break the deadlock.
Martinez then returned the favor to the Inter Miami playmaker, doubling the visitor’s lead with eight minutes of normal time remaining.
Captain Messi and the Argentina team were invited as special guests as the southern African country celebrates the 50th anniversary of its independence from Portugal.
