Championship Side Middlesbrough has appointed Rob Edwards as manager to replace the dismissal Michael Carrick, the club announced on Tuesday.
Carrick was illuminated from his duties after the club had missed a play-off place during the 2024-25 season.
Edwards joins Middlesbrough for a three -year -old deal after he has mutually terminated his contract with Luton Town in January. He led Luton to promotion to the Premier League in the 2022-23 season before supervising his immediate relegation back to the second layer.

Luton then fell to League One last season after Edwards left.
Speaking of his new role, Edwards said: «It is a real privilege to get the chance to be the head coach of this great football club. It is something that is not lost, how big this is, how important this is and what it means for people. There is an amazing fan base.»
«It immediately felt that this was good for me, and it made me excited. If I were to come back, I wanted to come back to a place where we had a chance, and we really have a good chance here,» he added.
Middlesbrough finished 10th in the championship last season and expanded his top flight Abscheen to eight years.
