Walking through the 100 mile desert and even the Baxter State Park, they marked me. Not so much. At that time, I had my routine low and I got up early, but during the trip of Allagash and since then, I have been a bit lax. To tell the truth, it is pleasant that way. However, as of today, I have some large days planned ahead. In fact, for the next 6 days, I hope to average 30 miles a day. Oh! I am counting that it is easier and that is the main reason for the aggressive rhythm.
I slept through my alarm, but I could still walk at 6:00 am things started with a wonderful path. Like the beginning of yesterday, it was evident to see that the very trifized areas receive the serious attention of the workers of the paths, especially in these park environments. The first two miles were prepared well and did not know that it was established, but it was part of a Lollipop path (a path that begins singular, but is divided into a loop) to a viewpoint of Lake Témiscouata.
It was really nice to start this way! The highest point was the end of the Pristine path. Continuing, it was about 6 kilometers from Sutherland Cascades. That is according to the signs that I was seeing and with my quick and approximate conversion of that, I invited about 4 miles (there are actually 3.73 miles).
The path was a wilder feeling immediately, but for the most part, I was happy to discover it in enough good condition. Much better than some of yesterday’s things.
What do you think, they adjust to the correct user group for this path?
I reached the cataracts around 8:15 am and surprised me immediately. I established my package and took some photos. Then, with child joy, he went to explore the rock waterfalls. In a moment, I slugged on the humid wet rock, almost disastrously, but somehow I managed to stay vertically. It was a good reminder to not be careless and stupid. Finally, I sat and took the second breakfast.
Upon leaving the waterfall, the path continued to climb. In general, it seemed that I was going to the north almost in a crest line. He had left the lake at this point and was pure forest. Some were covered with weeds and thickly, but there were also times when there was a canopy above shadowing the weeds and keeping it at bay. I really liked these areas.

I had to use my phone to translate this. At first, because the rope was crossing, I thought I was telling me that the path was closed. After my research, I think I only told people who are on a long way to Lake Anna.
As I approached Lake Anna, which I thought was my next type of characteristic of the day, I ran into another vision. He had an old wooden platform to look and offered a last view of Lake Terminouata to the Southwest. I liked it so much that I had an improvised break there. There was also a good cellular service on the hanger, which although it was pretty, was the greatest attraction for me at that time.
The crossing of Lake Anna was not far ahead. The national path does not go next to the shore, but once again I had left the water, so I took the lateral path. At first, I left my backpack next to Lake’s exit watching a place to access. Then, I noticed that a couple sitting in chairs on the grass looked at me. I am momentarily forgetting about the language barrier, I decided and asked if they had water from which I could fill.
These people did not know much English and I don’t know any French (except some phrases I am working on). However, when I timidly lifted my water bottle, the message was transmitted and nodded to the small house. At one point I had sought to rent a small cabin in this lake and wondered if this was the same.
Another woman met me at the door and she spoke and understood some English. I heard a version of the word «tablet». And he thought he was trying to tell me that he needed to treat the water because he came directly from the lake. I returned and obtained my filter. It seemed confused by the filter, but we solved it haha. I also met her that I have been walking since January 1. I’m not sure if she believed me haha.
The road to the lake was longer than I expected, so I decided to create a small detour on my route and continue northwest on the road. If my scheme worked, I would be cutting a corner of my route, so to speak; A shortcut. I am careful with the shortcuts, but this time I went. After a little follow -up of two, I arrived at the 232 highway, I crossed and turned to the right, and followed it north by just a few short ways before cutting left on an ATV path.
It ended up being very pleasant with raspberry bushes, some of which endowed mature and tasty fruits. There were many dragonflies of wild and giant flowers and flutter breaking jumps and an occasional butterfly. Returning to the national path around 1:30 pm, I sat on the path and lunch.
Such behavior is not very courteous in hiking ethics, of course. How would you like if your path was blocked by some kind widespread all the way? But, I really felt no one was coming today. I had not seen a hiker all day and, for some reason, I did not feel that this was the section to happen. However, you never know, so I was on alert for the click of a branch or a creak of steps that occurred to me.

This is one of the shelters that I could have reserved, but I did not plan my mileage right to adjust. I am quite sure that this would have been free, while the two most west cost around $ 30 per night.
The afternoon was a little work and the weed -covered path worn me. He knew he was not going to be easy and kept him forward. However, around 4:30 pm, when I arrived at a road crossing, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to follow the path or walk some roads for a while. I started on the path, but when he started his waist high in search of Bushwhacking, he turned. A gravel path through the farm field sounded pleasant.
The last mile and a half before my planned camp, I jumped back to the road. Here I was not very clear, but a little better than before. I filled water in a good stream and was excited to stop. A camp had been listed near a parking lot, but it really wasn’t sure to wait. I had a screenshot of the instructions and had seen it on my map, but when I got where I thought I was, I didn’t see a camp. Instead, there was a small community.
This was exactly the place where I didn’t want to camp. I was still more thinking that maybe there would be a signal or something, but I saw nothing. The only thing he could think was that it was a situation of Trail Angel in which one of the houses allowed hikers to remain in his property. But I wasn’t sure to ask or how to ask more.
I was more than 5 miles to the next refuge, I was a beat, and it was supposed to reserve it anyway. I am not sure of how a group would like if a dirty and smelly gross guy, who does not speak any French, appeared after dusk with the hope of staying the night.
I’m not sure what to do, I kept walking. Around 7:30 pm, I finally decided to make a spot. I know that it is not what I was supposed to do, but having gotten into the curse situation, I was not sure what else to do. I made sure I continued without a trace (apart from the fact that the first of the seven principles is to plan and prepare, what I failed) and promised to make the campsites better in the future.

Thanks for joining the trip! It means a lot that you took the time to read these adventures. If you want to help all children to get outdoor access, a cause that means a lot to me, please help me support Empowerment with outdoors! The «Author of advice« The button is a direct link to my fund collection page. Your generosity is really surprising.
My goal is to raise for oen twice the amount of all the miles as a way (or rowing). At this time, almost $ 7,000 have been donated, which is amazing! And it is wonderful to see so many people intervene towards the cause. Every dollar counts and matters. The crazy thing is that I have almost traveled 4,500 miles, so to keep track, that number would be closer to $ 9,000. I still have the hope of achieving my Ect target and this fundraising objective, so go to what is ahead! And thank you very much!
