Mohamed Salah has paid tribute to Liverpool teammate Diogo Jota and brother Andre Silva, after they died on Thursday in a car accident.
«I was really lost for words. Until yesterday I never thought there would be anything that would be that I would go back to Liverpool after the break. Teammates will come and not go. It will be extremely difficult to accept that Diogo will not be there,» said the Egyptian Forward in a post on X.
Salah and Jota were teammates on Merseyside from 2020, after the move of the Portuguese attacker of Wolverhampton Wanderers. Both players were part of Liverpool’s 2024/25 Premier League title profit and all three domestic cups together.

«My thoughts are with his wife, his children and of course his parents who suddenly lost their children. Those near Diogo and his brother Andre need all the support they can get. They will never be forgotten,» Salah added.
