Defending Indian Super League (ISL) champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant will look to capitalize on the momentum of winning the IFA Shield as they take on two-time ISL champions Chennaiyin FC in the AIFF Super Cup 2025-26 in Goa on Saturday.
Bagan recently found themselves in controversy with their fan clubs over the decision not to travel to Iran for the AFC Champions League Two match against Sepahan, but the country has continued to enjoy domestic success, winning the IFA Shield earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Chennaiyin is a shadow of its past, having last won a trophy – the ISL Cup – in 2018, while its last appearance in a final was five years ago.
