More than 10,000 miles in less than 10 years, a walk through Tucson’s desert to San Diego, and life as a sailor with Leah «Twig» Harman (BPR #313)

In today’s episode of Backpacker Radio, presented by The Trek, presented by LMNT, we are joined by Leah Harman, known on the path as Twig. Although Twig is relatively new in the world of waters, with less than 10 years of experience, it has begun to run, accumulating more than 10,000 miles in the process. In addition to all the usual suspects, Triple Crown Trails, Colorado Trail, Ta, Arizona Trail … TWIG has also completed a series of less known paths, including Mogollon Rim Trail, Bigfoot Trail and a winter desert through Tucson to San Diego. Of course, we learn everything about these walks, why cows are the most dangerous animal along the way and how it makes their perpetual hiker work in life. Leah also tells his last life living and working aboard the ships, confirming that all stereotypes about drunk and horny sailors are, in fact, hilariously precise, complete with some stories of entertaining ride.

We wrap the program with news from a group that trusted Chatgpt to plan their walk, and how it was wrong terribly, Chaunce details the stress associated with the planning of a wedding and the triple crown of film/television programs that broke us.
