Morocco hit the first finalist Madagascar 3-2 in the Chan 2024 final in the Safaricom Stadium Kasarani in Nairobi on Saturday to lift its third African Nations Championship title.
Morocco had worked the championship in 2018 and 2020.
Oissama Lamolioui scored a Bracewi YouTsef Mehri scored for the Moroccan side. Clavin Felicite Manohansoa and Toky Nanitrakoraibe found the back of the net before Madagascar.
Morocco had shown title defender Senegal the door after he had put it on penalties in the semi -final, while Madagascar had defeated Sudan in the other fourth game.
Senegal, however, defeated Sudan on penalties to finish third in this edition of the African Nations Championship.
