While a walk in the AT is inherently a solo trip, there is no way that it can be completed completely alone. With that I mean that there are so many people who have influenced, helped or have been part of my walk in one way or another that deserve thanks. Be it a trip to the city, a place to stay, inspiration and encouragement for hiking or magic of trails, many people have played an incredibly valuable role in my walk.
To my family:
Thank you very much for always supporting me. This walk was a crazy idea with which everyone jumped on board. Even in my most difficult days, when I was closer to quitting smoking, you always offered breath. Even if it was just a simple «you have come so far, you can do it», your words of encouragement really kept me on my way and I can’t appreciate that enough.
To Christina and Derick:
You two are the reason why I am through a trip. If it weren’t to the partners on the park trip last summer, it would not be where I am now. But with your tutoring and help, my trip was possible. And I am incredibly grateful that both have shown me the path and shown my best that really was.

To all other hikers:
The community is what makes the AT so special. While it may be something that each person technically does alone, the people you know in the way make the trip so significant. Whether just a hiker companion with whom you campe for one night, people with whom you walk for a week or a family of adequate paths with which you spend every second for months, other hikers make the path so special. There would be too many names to name, but I am very grateful for all the other hikers who were part of my trip.

To the angels of the path that organized me:
Before starting the path, I would never have thought that the night would spend in a full house of strangers, but on the road it happened on numerous occasions. Some paths of trails that I met physically along the way, others found me in my blog and others were friends of friends. But all the people who were very grateful to let me into their home and so appreciated and had an incredible impact on my walk. Thank you very much: Gazelle, Murray-Ann, Natalie and John, and the Reid family.

To paths of trails:
The path would not be possibly without you and the amount of work that is put on it is endless. Especially after Hurricane Helene, the amount of work that the path needed was incredible. But the path was ready to walk this year thanks to the incredible work of trails and volunteers. The path can always use more help, to obtain more information on the opportunities of volunteers for the work of paths, follow the link below:

I could not write enough thanks to all the people who influenced my walk, and I am so incredibly grateful to have been able to meet so many people throughout this incredible trip.
