Harry Kane paid tribute to his former Tottenham Hotspur teammate son Heung-Min and described their partnership as «one of the best» in the history of the Premier League after the departure of the South Koreans from the club.
Son, who combined with Kane for 47 league goals to form a deadly partnership for the best part of a decade at Spurs, joined a record -breaking Major League Soccer Transfer on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old South Korea skipper had moved from Bayer Leverkusen to North London in 2015, and 173 goals and 101 assists in 454 performances and leading traces to their first trophy in 17 years by winning the Europa League title in May.
«Massive congratulations to him and his career at Tottenham,» said Bayern Munich-striker Kane reporters after the 4-0 friendly victory for his side on former club spurs on Thursday.
“First and foremost a great person. I really have to know him as a friend, and how humble he is and how good a man he is.
“I think we as a player, you know, one of the best partnerships in the Premier League history. We just had the connection we loved.
«It is a great way for his career in Tottenham to finish, to lift the trophy with the team last year … And now it’s a new chapter for him, he goes to LA, and I wish him the very best, and I hope to see him soon and we can catch up.»
Kane spent the majority of his career at Spurs after he arrived at their academy as an 11-year-old and scored a club record 280 goals in more than 430 performances in all competitions.
The 32-year-old captain of England joined the German Reus Bayern in August 2023.
