Wyoming was short and sweet! Among the winds, tetones and yellowstone, there was much to love (but there were also some rough patches)! Here are some thoughts about our favorite things and feelings of our time there.

Magic of the favorite path
Cloud: Our friends! Ronan, Abby and Bri, who led hours to help us. It would have been exponentially more difficult to reach the paths we wanted without their help. Not to mention that they provide another support such as meals, shelter, great company and even a few days in the field with us! I am very, very grateful and I love you all!
Mountain goat: the same! Our friends were the true MVP of this section. It was difficult, but feasible because all the support.
Favorite day
Cloud: Day 70- The Cirque de las Torres! This trail has been on my list for what seems an eternity and was anticipating it for the entire CDT. The views were unreal all day! Each new lake or pass exceeded the last. My mouth was open, stunned by beauty. I felt very grateful to be there, and very alive during our endless elevation gain.
Mountain Goat: Day 72- Titacomb Basin and Shannon Pass. We saw glaciers cutting deeply into steep mountains standing above the basin. He felt like being in Cascades or Alaska, but even possibly more pleasant.
Less favorite day
Cloud: Day 75- I have Giardia. Explanation for yourself!
Mountain goat: Day 78- The first day of the Teton Crest Trail. 1600 feet in .8 miles is not a joke to start one day. Follow that with a shrub crest, a high elevation elevation day and rain is a rough hiking.
Best camping place
Cloud: Island Lake in the winds! We were on a shelf with view of the Virgin Lake and had radical views of the Titcomb basin. The view from the inside of the store was all the time! We also venture into the lake and experience the best swimming beach in the CDT.
Mountain goat: the same. The second best is the field site, Lone Star, camping in Yellowstone. Awesome geyser experience followed by an easy bear and have the site for ourselves.
Worse camping place
Britt: Grant Campground in Yellowstone. There was nothing wrong, and in reality, it was quite pleasant to have the comforts. But, it’s a Front Country camp, so I was busy and noisy!
Devin: The first night at the TCT. He was rainy and busy in the National Park section. This made it difficult to find a good and slow place to configure.
Favorite city stop
Britt: Driggs. While technically in Idaho, we stayed here with Bri before starting the Teton Crest Trail. We went to dinner and drink drinks in one of the local breweries. The food and drinks were great, just like the company. It was so wonderful to catch up with Bri!
Devin: Lander. We have to eat in the brewery and do all the fast tasks. It was very easy with Ronan’s truck there to take us and even see the Fregads Canyon State Park.
Minimum Parada of the Favorite City
Britt: Grant Village, Yellowstone. Like the camp, there was nothing wrong, and there were many great comforts! I was a little widespread and far from the path.
Devin: The same. Only occupied, extended and expensive. We expected Yellowstone, but very different from what our rhythm has been in the last three months.
