PCT SOBO DAY 14 – PIZZA TO GO

Day 14

Home: Steven’s Pass/Leavenworth, Mile 188.5

END: TRPS PASSITE, Mile 200.5

Walked miles: 12 miles

He felt so good to wake up dry and renewed in a warm bed. During the days of the city, I like to maximize my hotel stay, so I had no plans to go back to the path. At 7 in the morning, I had breakfast the hotel and talked to a hiker who knew before on the path. We both complain how covered certain sections of the path were and bought the rain.

Back in my room, I finished the tasks of my city to organize my articles and publish on the blog. It is a lot of work that must be crunch in the few hours that I have reliable access to the Internet. At 10:55, just 5 minutes from the payment hour of the 11 am, I went out the door and gave myself the keys.

The last two main elements on my list were to go to the post office to send my microSpikes home (less weight, yay!) And lunch. After the po, I had lunch in a pizzeria and brewery that had some of the best pizzas I had tried in a long time. Bounted with a steak, this pizza gave the act! I could only eat half, so I wrapped the other half on aluminum foil to take me along the way.

Finally, it’s time to return, I walked to the edge of the city and took off my thumb. He took time, but finally took a boy with a cabin in the area. I was just going to half, but we had to talk and it turns out that we had worked for the same company. Little world! He left me in Steven’s Pass and gave me a peach to go.

On the way, the weather was warm but not unpleasant. My goal was to go at least 10 miles. First, I had to climb through the area of the skiing station, where ski elevators suspended in the air hung, hoping the snow arrived.

The rest of the day was relatively quiet. I met several weekend backpackers and resumed my fight with mosquitoes. After 10 miles, I still had some energy, so I decided to camp on the traps pass. He had a view of Lake Trap birds and would be perfect for dawn and sunset.

However, as soon as I sat, the mosquitoes descended. I quickly configured my store and escaped, enjoying the sunset from inside my protective bubble before going to sleep.

And that is a day in the life of a PCT Sobo hiker!
