Day 58
Zero day
Etna, ca
Walked miles: 0 miles
When I woke up this morning in my soft motel bed, I knew what I had to do. I lifted my phone and immediately requested another night. Yes, today it was going to be a zero day! I thought my body needed the rest and additional food in the city, so everything that was on my agenda was to rest and eat.
And that is exactly what I did. I took leftovers (and a little ice cream) for breakfast, I returned to the distillery for lunch and then went to the brewery for dinner. In the middle, I went to bed and tried not to move too much. It was perfect.
Tomorrow, I got up early to get to the post office just when it opened, then return to the road. Until then, I stayed.
And that is a day in the life of a PCT Sobo hiker!
