Day 62
Home: Assembly, Mile 1125.1
END: AMMIRATI’S/DUNSMUU, ~ MILLA 1150.6
Walked miles: 25.5 miles
I glimpsed the bright orange sunrise before turning during my last minutes of closing. When I finally sat and cleaned my eyes, I could see that there was no indication of storms that seemed so inevitable yesterday. There was no raining all night.
I took my time packed again this morning, but finally I left and moved. Today I would arrive at Castle Crags State Park and I hope to get to Dunsmuir. I had not planned to go to the city, but the appeal of a true dinner and breakfast changed my mind.

Today was hot! There was absolutely no clouds in heaven, so all the force of the sun was over me. While climbing and on the mountains of trucks scarcely, Mount Shasta was always present on the horizon. I passed some lakes that shone invited in the distance, but my mind was put into food. I would like not to be in a hurry to reach the city; This section was impressive and wanted to take my time through it. But, while looking at my almost empty food bag during a break, I knew that would not be possible.

The path stuck mainly to the crest and a cold breeze crossed the heat while I was there. A sobo he had seen since Crater Lake spent, let me know that he was not alone here. While descending from the climb and approached the castle’s cliffs, the temperature increased. The small and annoying flies came out of nowhere, and the water was far. This was a difficult day! The heat was inevitable until I reached the rightly called missing Creek.
Castle Crags
Fortunately, I discovered that it had not completely disappeared and that there was still a drip of water. The soblo I had seen before was there. We pity on heat and have a good time fuck recovering in the shade.
I didn’t have much more to go to the road, so I said goodbye and kept moving. Now that it was in the trees, the temperature was a little better, but the flies were more annoying than ever. My insect head network was deeply pushed into my backpack; I didn’t think I would really need it again. So, not wanting to stop and unpack everything, instead I stirred my handkerchief in front of my face to fight the worst flies.
When I finally got to the road, it was 5:30 pm now, I just needed to take Dunsmuu. That was more difficult than I thought it would be. I spent an hour with my thumb out, hoping that at least one car in scarce traffic to stop. I even ate a couple of apple apples next to the exit. The first was so tasty that I tried luck with another. However, after the fifth bite, a worm crawled! ¡¡¡! I spit that bite, threw the apple and sat with disbelief. But well, at least I knew that the apple was organic without pesticides!
Around 6:30, I gave up and called the hotel owner. He provided transfers to hikers, so I organized a collection and was in the shelter in a short time. Not wanting to walk through the mile to the city, I called and asked for pizza delivery and settled to spend the night. It was good to have full food!

And that is a day in the life of a PCT Sobo hiker!
