This summer will be great. I am excited to say that I will walk through the Pacific Crest Trail this year and that I will complete my triple crown. There are so many emotions linked to this path and this achievement for me. When I started walking, I had no intention of walking all over the country several times, but here I am!
You go to Sobo
Unlike most PCT through excursions, I am walking along the southern path this year. Until now, I have made the CDT Sobo and the AT Novo. When I first discovered up to the first time, my dream was to walk on the PCT Novo, so I chose to start with the CDT when my schedule would not accommodate a Nevo PCT start date. Now that I have a little more experience in my credit, I have changed my mind about that.
Enjoying Bellingham, WA, before leaving for the PCT
First, I discovered that I love walking alone and camping with smaller groups. There is less competition for campsites and little more camaraderie since we are a smaller group.
I am not a great snow admirer. IR SOBO will allow me to avoid the most difficult snow challenges that are often found in the mountains. I will not have to wake up at 3 or 4 am to walk when the snow is firmer; Instead, I will only have to overcome some snow patches in Washington and that will be (hopefully).
From what I have seen, I will also experience each section during your best seasons. Washington in the summer is beautiful; Wild flowers will be out and I will not have to worry about the imminent snowstorms. Oregon will remain hot, but I can be five years old to spend nobles. The Sierra will be a bit cold, but there will be less crowds and I can see the autumn colors.
Finally, I can have a soft finish in the desert with strong paths of paths. While the desert will probably be cold at night for when I get there, I will not have to deal with such gain and loss of elevation as I would have to do it in WA. I find that at the end of a walk, my body is so tired that dealing with huge mountains becomes a challenge. During the last year, I had to fight every day until the last days, when I felt that I could finally relax. On the contrary, I felt light and carefree during the last 2 weeks during my walking cdt walk. The miles were relatively easy, the weather was perfect and even decreased the speed to finish the last hundred miles with my friend. I loved that relaxed final, so I hope to recreate something similar to this.
A great achievement
When I began to win, I embarked on a self -pare trip. I was looking for a new direction and needed time to think without the external entry and pressure that society can impose. At the end of that first walk, I found that clarity. I also found a love for the open air that continues to chase me to this day.

Pack my refueling
Complete the triple crown will be the end of one chapter, but the beginning of another. The fact that my triple crown walk is the PCT is very ironic. It was the walk I wanted to do first, but I am ecstatic that it will be my last. I wanted to walk the PCT so much that I made my Shakedown trips along the path on Yosemite, and even took a path to Nortal to take a photo with a PCT sign. I have been waiting for this moment for years, and finally it is here!
The final chapter
When this walk ends, I will not stop walking. There are many more paths on my list of desires and so many beautiful wild areas to visit. However, my trips can be a bit different in the future.
Even so, my goal for this walk is to enjoy it to the fullest. I will resist the temptation to stress for miles and let the path develop as it will.
I hope everyone enjoys following this trip, and I can wait for him to begin!
