«In my everyday life, I can walk into a store and make a purchase: a new pair of shoes, a latte. On the road, that option may exist only once a week, and then back on the road. The same things that satisfied me so regularly now become the mental rejuvenation that takes me across mountains, through rugged terrain, heat and rain, cold and tiredness.
