A winner of a stopping time by teen Estevao Willian earned Chelsea a 2-1 victory over Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday and condemned the champion to a third defeat in a row in all competitions.
The 18-year-old Brazilian stung home from a Marc Cucurella cross in the fifth minute, in a fast and furious game at Stamford Bridge.
The result left the Arne Slot team in second place in the table on 15 points, one behind Arsenal. Chelsea rises to sixth out of 11.
The goal of Estevao sent Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca in a frenzy, and he ran along the touchline to celebrate wildlife, a second yellow card and a dismissal of referee Anthony Taylor.
It is unlikely that he is worried about the cards after his team had submitted a spicy display against Liverpool, which had set a point out by a second half of Equalizer from Cody Gakpo.
The Dutch scored in the 63rd minute with the visitors who pushed the pressure and pushed a film from Alexander Isak home.

Chelsea -midfielder Moises Caicedo had set up the home team in the 12th minute with a thunderous shot from outside the area.
Liverpool -captain Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate stood by the Ecuadorian, and he found space and sent a rocket post Georgi Mhaldashvili in the top right corner.
The game was played at a furious pace and Liverpool had its chances, especially when Isak passed in the first half and Mo Salah sent the ball early in the beginning in the second wide.
But the working speed and intention of Chelsea have had the competition in the shade. Enzo Fernandez hit the post in the 90th minute before Speedy replacement Estevao hit the winner.
It was the third defeat for Liverpool, who drove high on the top of the table before he lost to Crystal Palace last weekend and dropped points on Saturday. In between it lost to Galatasaray in the Champions League.
«We were the dominant team, but in the last 10-15 minutes it was end-to-end, both teams could have scored,» said Liverpool coach Arne Slot.
«Both teams often arrived on the 18-year line. These are the margins that are not falling for us at the moment,» he added.
