Premier League 2025-26: Full list of players heading to AFCON 2025

The 35th edition of Africa’s premier football tournament, the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), will be hosted in Morocco from December 21.

Premier League clubs are expected to release players taking part in AFCON 2025 after this weekend’s matches.

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah is the biggest Premier League star heading into the tournament, where he will lead Egypt’s title aspirations.

However, Salah has fallen out of favor with manager Arne Slot in recent weeks, leading the Egyptian forward to claim he has been ‘thrown under the bus’ due to the team’s poor performances.

Sunderland will be the worst hit Premier League team by the AFCON departure, with the newly promoted side set to be without six players over the next month.
