Premier League 2025-26: Wolverhampton Wanderers is expanding the contract of manager Vitor Pereira, despite the bad start

Wolverhampton Wanderers said that it has extended the contract of the Vitor Pereira manager for another three years, even though the side of West Midlands is at the bottom of the Premier League after losing his first four games of the season.

The 57-year-old Portuguese replaced Gary O’Neil in December last year with a first deal of 18 months. He led wolves away from relegation danger last season with a series of six straight victories to achieve a 16th place.

«Vorror had a very positive effect during his time at Wolves. He has brought clarity, energy and a team spirit that gives us a foundation to be successful,» said Wolves chairman Jeff Shi in a statement late on Thursday.

«This is a time for stability. Vorror needs time to work with the team, to build chemistry with new players, and we will do everything we can to support him and his staff,» he added.

Wolves organizes Leeds United in the competition on Saturday.
