England defender Kyle Walker has signed a two-year deal with the newly promoted Premier League club Burnley for a reported fee for Manchester City of £ 5 million ($ 6.8 million).
The international Van England, 35, has made 410 performances in the Premier League and won the competition six times with City, as well as the Champions League.
He spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at the Serie A Side AC Milan, who did not exercise the right to buy it. Walker’s contract in City, where he joined in 2017, would expire at the end of the 2025/26 season.
«I am very happy to be here,» said the right back in a Burnley statement on Saturday. “When I spoke with (manager) Scott Parker and heard about his plans for next season, it was a chance that I jumped on.
«He did a great job here and guided the club to the Premier League with a 100-point trek, and now we look out, together, in the best competition in the world.»
Walker, closed 96 times by England, was not part of the City team for the World Cup Club and another movement was expected.
