Real Madrid -manager Alonso promises action about words prior to La Liga Debut

Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso said on Monday that he wanted to do the performance of his team on the field to make the conversation for him while on Tuesday his first La Liga campaign against Osasuna.

Former Bayer Leverkusen-Coach Alonso, loved by real fans for his trophy-loaded play years in the Bernabeu and at Spain, is responsible for being revived a Madrid side that ended last season without a big trophy.

In the club World Cup, which was Alonso’s first competition as a real coach, Madrid was beaten by Paris Saint-Germain in a 4-0 semi-final loss last month.

Real, under the Italian Carlo Ancelotti, finished four points behind La Liga champions Barcelona and failed to keep his Champions League crown after a quarterfinals. It also lost the Copa del Rey final to bitter rival Barca.

«I am more about talking about talking,» Alonso told reporters. “Making promises before you act, usually does not work in football. Just saying that it will not happen. We want to start that path tomorrow.

«We are very enthusiastic and want to bring that energy to the stadium and earn them (the fans) support.»

Alonso has strengthened the defense of Real with England, right back Alexander-Arnold who, together with Bournemouth’s 20-year-old Spain Center-back Dean Huijsen and Alvaro Carreras by Benfica van Bournemouth and left and left behind.

The reinforcements deal with the defensive problems of last season that emptied Real’s title challenging. Defender Dani Carvajal, who went back his way after last season’s ACL injury, was mentioned in Real’s team to tackle Osasuna.

«It’s a great competition for the players, and I think it’s great that we have two who can play in every position,» said Alonso. «Sometimes I will have to rotate. Carvajal is getting closer to his best, and that is very good for the team.»

Alonso also discussed Real’s decision to denounce plans for a Barcelona-Villarreal La Liga match in Miami in December in Miami.

Real has warned that the proposal could undermine the competitive balance of football and has sworn to request the football administrative bodies to block the move.

The match of December 20, approved by the Spanish football federation last week, could be the first LA Liga match that was held abroad and the first European competition match in the United States. It requires approval from UEFA, US Soccer, Concacaf and FIFA.

«I very much agree with the club’s statement (real). If the rules have to be changed, this must be unanimous agreement of all participants (in the competition). Otherwise it cannot be done,» said Alonso.
