The 17-year-old attacker of Liverpool, Rio Ngumoha, signed his first professional contract, said the Premier League club on Thursday.
Details of the deal were not announced, but British media reported that Ngumoha signed a contract until 2028, since three years is the maximum contract term for players under the age of 18 under FA rules.
Ngumoha came from the bank and scored a 100th minute winner on his Premier League debut in Newcastle United last month and became the youngest goal scorer of the club. He also played last week in Liverpool’s Champions League victory in Atletico Madrid in Anfield.
The English Youth International received his senior debut in January in a FA Cup -similar game with AcCHRNENTON Stanley. He came to Liverpool’s Academy from Chelsea last year and has since made five senior performances.
