The Saudi Aarabic club of Cristiano Ronaldo, Al Nassr, is without a head coach after Stefano Pioli left Wednesday. The Italian is expected to return home and take the lead over Fiorentina.
Al Nassr, which is owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, is now without a manager, just a few days before Ronaldo’s contract ends on Monday. The 40-year-old attacker has been at the club for 2½ years.
In a statement on social media, the club announced: «Pioli and his staff are no longer the acting coaching staff of the first team.»
Pioli previously coached Fiorentina for two seasons until 2019 and then won a Serie A title during his five-year term of office at AC Milan. After he had released by Milan after the 2023-24 season, he joined Al Nassr, replacing Luís Castro, who was fired earlier in the year.
Al Nassr is striving for his first domestic league title since 2019 and has separated with three full -time coaches since the arrival of Ronaldo.
The team qualified for next season’s AFC Champions League after he finished third in the Saudi Pro League. That position was confirmed after a successful legal profession in which the club had awarded a victory in a match against a team that had found a non -close player.
Ronaldo recently helped Portugal to win the UEFA Nations League title, which means that striking versions during the tournament.
