Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim believed that the winning goal of Arsenal in the Premier League match of the teams at Old Trafford should have been rejected on Sunday for a «clear» error in the structure.
United goalkeeper Altay Bayındır was put off by Arsenal defender William Saliba as an in-swinging corner was supplied by Declan Rice in the 13th minute. When Saliba withdrew to Bayındır, the goalkeeper woke the ball and only managed to hit the line to Riccardo Calafiori, who nodded up close.

The Portuguese coach added: «It protects the attacking man and says that we want (more) goals. But if you touch the goalkeeper that way, I think it is difficult.»
United Captain Bruno Fernandes said that in a meeting for the season, the Premier League said that referees will ask more mistakes if players block opponents on set pieces and not look at the ball.

«But we know they just say that,» said Fernandes.
«Altay said the moment he starts beating, he gets a touch. But we clearly know in the Premier League, they don’t give much in that kind of situations.»
