The Ella Toon from England admits that Spain might have extra motivation in the final of Sunday of the Ladies Euro 2025 after his World Cup triumph was overshadowed two years ago by events at the end of the competition in Sydney.

«It was a difficult period for the Spanish players and I think what they were doing in the World Cup, that that was the most important talk point at the time, was really difficult and something they should not have endured,» Tone Reporters in Zurich said on Friday. «They should have celebrated what a great tournament was for them.»

Toone played in the World Cup final and now hopes that England can avenge his defeat that day, and can repeat his victory in the final of the last European Championship in 2022.
«We both want to win clearly their reasons, we have ours and I think it will be a very tough game,» said the 25-year-old midfielder of Manchester United.
«We have so much respect for them and the quality they have, but we also believe in ourselves that we can really perform.»
England has made a third consecutive major tournament final outside the back of two heartbreaking victories in the knockout rounds in Switzerland.
