Run Boy Run – The Trek

Marty told me that, usually, people are not leaving early in the morning. I can see why … I didn’t wake up until 9:30. It is something about the foam topper of memory or something. Normally, I am not a big fan of memory foam. It usually feels as if I’m just sinking. But I suppose that with how tired I have been from Trail, the foam mattress absorbed me and never released me.

I still have no reception here, which is a bit annoying and, ultimately, it was the forcing function to get up. Yes, I could … read a book or stir in my thoughts. But I want to do some blog jobs for all of you! Interestingly, my clock once said that I got also Much sleep in one night, saying that it is a sign that I need to be more consistent in my sleep schedule. If I only knew. I feel that the path is where I have been more consistent in my dream.

I eventually arrived at the mystical Mug Cafe, where I met the planet Caravan and Marty himself. Marty and I talked a little, with emotion that surrounds us both about John Kelly passing today. I finally made a trip to the Delaware Water Gap post, where Dawn, the postal worker, recognized my name! I bounced the package with my hip belt to Palmeton at the beginning of the week, but now I had some wedges to install in my templates sent here now. In addition, I was finally ready to send my Jacks R Better Big Meadows Quilt! The quantcha was pleasant and light again. But there were only some design characteristics that I couldn’t avoid.

I tried to make some blogs in coffee with Wi-Fi, but I was too excited and nervous for missing John through the city. Then, I sat on the balcony with Marty watching the tracker, or as much as I could with the irregular reception. The unfortunate thing about Water Gap delaware is that, since it is so close to the forest, there are still insects … everywhere! There were some moments when I found an error actively sucking my blood, and by then … it is too late. Puaj.

When we saw the tracker really approaching, Marty and I climbed the way to look at his crew and meet him. John didn’t seem to be in humor, and I can’t blame him. I was actively pouring when we saw it, and had been actively pouring the entire previous week. There were also errors everywhere, since the path was right next to a swamp. I talked to his camera, and it turns out that John’s feet had immense pain, because he was constantly wet. No matter the amount of shoes and the change of sock they were doing, they cannot prevent them from raining.

I joined its crew to run a little, only to the border. He felt fun to see how shock he was doing the city for this. Even firefighters took a break to see! I hope I get to Katahdin. Like just another type of computer that enjoys the outdoors, I can empathize with John’s mission here.

Marty gave Spoonman and me a trip to ready, prepare, run later. Here, I wanted more tips on my feet. And … Of course, the Council here was different from everyone else. Here, they recommended that you try the Superfeet templates running. But, it spills on them. I will try the wedges first and see how I feel. But I feel that the only way to give a good opportunity to shoes is to get a new couple. However, not yet, not when I am only 100 miles. I guess this is the same logic I had with the TUMP when they were failing. But we will still try …

Spoonman and I spent time at the nearby bar, eating super good, before going to Walmart for a replenishment. Neither of them needed a lot, but it is still good to have a Walmart. They have everything! The best ramen packages. Mountain houses to Cheap. And medical supplies! I grabbed some of excess, hoping that a topical steroid could help my feet fingers to heal faster. Maybe doubtful, but I can’t hurt.

Fortunately, we didn’t need to bother Marty for a trip back to the city. For some reason, Studsburg and Delaware Water Gap have an application called «Pony Plus», which is a flat rate of flat rate that will transport it anywhere. So, we take it from Walmart to Marty’s without problems! Then I took him to a Thai place nearby to eat.

It was delicious! I obtained a Thai pork pad and a fried ice cream, taking a little back after my appetite reopened. In the shelter, I met the Navigator, a German man who simply grinds miles, and Superman, a 20 -year -old boy who had just started at Harper’s Ferry. And … it seemed too anxious to share that he ran out of money.

So Marty and I could leave, he was a little on his head. Which is fine! The AT can be a fundamental learning experience for many! The problem here was that it seemed to be extremely naive above all. Before the path, he had only saved $ 1000, and was not ready for how «everything is so expensive!» But … if you have a budget, why is it in a place that costs money, instead of the free shelter?

Marty and I spent time helping him realize that while the path is Relatively safe, there is a difference between negligence and accidents. Recently I have been very annoying to see negligence along the way, after having understood that some people from home had lied about their own negligence that conditioned a search and rescue situation that began for them. Now that I have been here and I have been closer to the community, I know how silly it is that Sar is treated as a basic product, and not as a last minute resource. Marty and I discovered that Superman did not even know that the whites could cool, since he was only bringing a sleeping bag lining and did not know that he finally wanted to have a quilt. Or a jacket. Oof.

To do the lighter things, Marty requests that, instead of leaving a record of trails, all the guests draw a small comic of a history of trails. Then, I counted an encounter that I had near Bear Garden in Virginia. Enjoy!
