Services defeated Lakshadweep 2-1 on Wednesday to maintain a perfect record in the 2025-2026 Santosh Trophy and qualify for the next round.
Two goals in five minutes, from R. Panna (55′) and J. Vijay (60′), put Services ahead in the second half. Lakshadweep pulled one back in the 88th minute through B. Nisamudheen’s goal, but could not find the equalizer.
In the other Group H match, Goa edged past Karnataka 2-0 to finish in second place with four points from three matches.
Odisha also strengthened its chances of progressing in the competition with a 1-0 win over Telangana. The team now tops Group F with two wins from two games.
Chhattisgarh secured a comprehensive 3-0 win over Madhya Pradesh to stay in contention. It will face Odisha in the final round of Group F.
The group winners will join hosts Assam, defending champions West Bengal and runners-up Kerala in the final round in Dhakuakhana and Dhemaji.
