Serie A 2025-26: AC Milan draw 2-2 with Parma; Juventus remained in a goalless deadlock against Torino

AC Milan squandered a two-goal lead as struggling Parma staged a spirited comeback to salvage a 2-2 draw on Saturday, with Enrico Delprato denying the visitors top spot in the 2025/26 Serie A in the second half.

Milan are in second place with 22 points, alongside defending champions Napoli, who are in the lead on Sunday and visit Bologna, when Inter Milan and AS Roma, both with 21 points, are also in action against Lazio and Udinese respectively in a tight race for top spot.

Parma is seventeenth with eight points, two points above the relegation zone.

Milan took the lead after 12 minutes when Alexis Saelemaekers drilled a low shot into the far corner, with Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki reaching the ball with his fingertips but reacting too late to keep it out.

The visitor doubled their lead in the 25th minute after Saelemaekers, who had been causing constant problems on the flank, was brought down in the penalty area by Abdoulaye Ndiaye after drifting towards the byline.

After a brief VAR check, the penalty was confirmed and Rafael Leao made no mistake from the spot, firing an accurate shot into the right corner.

Parma pulled one back just before half-time when Adrian Bernabe curled a superb strike into the top corner and leveled shortly after the hour when Delprato met Sascha Britschgi’s cross from the right with a close-range header at the near post.

Both teams had late chances to snatch victory, with goalkeeper Mike Maignan keeping Milan level with a sharp save to keep out Delprato’s header near the post before Saelemaekers rounded Suzuki but shot wide of an open goal.

Luka Modric tried his luck from the edge of the penalty area in stoppage time with a curling left-foot effort that Suzuki spilled before rallying at the second attempt.

Juventus were held to a goalless draw in the Turin derby

Juventus largely dominated but failed to beat neighbors Torino in a 0-0 draw at home on Saturday, dealing a blow to Luciano Spalletti’s hopes of gaining ground in the title race.

The hosts had won their last two league games since the sacking of manager Igor Tudor, one of those victories coming in Spalletti’s first game in charge, but a largely toothless derby display left the crowd frustrated.

Francisco Conceicao created several half-chances for Juventus in a disappointing opening period, but the home side, despite spending much of the second half trying to get the ball near Torino, were unable to capitalize.

Juve are fifth in the standings with 19 points from 11 games, while Torino are in 11th place with 14 points.
