Serie A 2025-26 news: Spalletti extends with Juventus until 2028

Luciano Spalletti will remain as coach of Juventus after signing a new two-year contract, the Serie A club announced on Friday.

Spalletti will reportedly earn five million euros per season from his extended contract.

«It is important that I tell you first before it becomes official that we have decided to extend my contract for another two years,» Spaletti said in a video released by the club in which he spoke to his players.

Spalletti was signed by Juve in October to replace the sacked Igor Tudor and charged with ensuring Champions League qualification.

The club is convinced by the 67-year-old who won the most famous title in Serie A with Napoli in 2023.

Spalletti, whose previous job was a tumultuous and unsuccessful spell as Italy coach, has Juve one point clear of fourth place currently occupied by Como.

However, the difference is actually two points as Como won both meetings between the two teams this season.

Juve will once again meet a qualifying candidate for the Champions League in Atalanta on Saturday evening.
