SHT DAY 4: I ♥ ️ Duluth

Today I am finishing the rest of the mileage through the city of Duluth.

Maeja didn’t feel good this morning. I opt for the Milea Guerza something, but led Andi and I at our initial beginning in Skyline Parkway, and even walk with us a little before turning around.

There have been beautiful waterfalls throughout the city.

The path was friendly today, with soft ups and downs. Like the previous three days, the path stayed in the forest for the most part. From time to time we cross a paved road. It seemed that there would only be around 8-9 miles on the map for today, but my watch ended 10 just at the point.

The SHT has been very well marked so far.

I connected my steps exactly to the Air Air Bridge where I finished on day 1. With the exception of that day, where I made bonus thousands sobo, all the remaining miles of the southern South Terminus have been walked by Nobo.

The main feature to take into account today was a large stone tower that we took a short stimulus trace to see in Enger Park. We had star views of the city after climbing the top! Maeja led to the tower and found us there for the views. The forest in this area is beautiful, and we saw great pines not seen on the way until now.

We climb the top for the best views.

Looking towards Duluth and the upper lake from inside the tower.

After the tower, we only had two miles to the bridge, and our end point for the day. The path crossed a Japanese garden, then brought us back to the city, and this time we crossed the interstatal.

This park was so beautiful!

Making one of the last laps in a corner, we ran to another bridge! A drawbridge this time, and was up. We wait for the boat to return to the dock, then the bridge finally lowered, much slower than the air bridge. This is significant because at this point we are hungry, we need to urinate, almost finished with the section, and a lot of wind and cold. The weather worsened today, and was quite windy, more notable in the city than in the forest.

A drawbridge, just walking. The SHT crosses this, but naturally we had to wait for a boat to happen!

Finally, back in our condominium, we quickly change to go to dinner early. We have been looking at this near Brewery, called Park Brewing Company channel, all week. The food was excellent! 10/10 recommend. I also had his Oktoberfest beer, and we divided a cheese curd request that were some of the best I’ve had. And, because it was cold in the wind and the temperatures outside, it also had a cup of its beer cheese soup. He had bacon, and was covered with corn popcorn!

Fish and french fries. I mean, we are right next to a giant lake.

The rest of the night will pass my backpack and do some last -minute tasks before the solo adventure begins. Tomorrow we travel north!
