Son Heung-Min brings Europa League trophy to South Korea; K-pop group to perform in his competition in Seoul


Tottenham Hotspur and South Korea Sea Son Heung-Min bring the Europa League trophy to his home country when his club plays a preseason match in Seoul in August.

Son, who moved to Spurs ten years ago, is the highest Asian goal scorer in the Premier League and helped the side to win his first major trophy in 17 years, making Manchester United in the Europa League final.

However, Spurs has since changed a change in guard in management, to replace coach Ange Postecoglou by Thomas Frank. The newest stint of the former Brentford manager starts with a preseason in Asia.

Tottenham has a friendly planned in China, South Korea, Germany and then back in the United Kingdom before he started the Premier League.

In Seoul, Tottenham Newcastle United -Europa League winner versus EFL League Cup -winner -plays in the Coupang Play series in the Seoul World Cup Stadium. Both teams, who won silverware after long periods, will show their trophies before the competition.

The popular K-pop Group 2NE1 officially returns to the big stage. The girl band, consisting of CL, Park Bom, Sandara Park and Minzy, dissolved in 2016, and the last song, entitled ‘Goodbye’, was released eight years ago.
