Spain retains first place in the FIFA ranking, despite losing the euro final of women against England


Spain retained first place in the latest FIFA world ranking of women released on Thursday, despite the loss of England in the final of the Ladies Euro 2025 last month.

With five wins in five in its way to the final, Spain USA, who found the place that it would live back from December 2023 to June 2024. In the meantime, England, who defended his European championship title, defended one place in fourth place.

Further in the list, Bangladesh took the biggest leap into places and is 104th (climbs 24 places), thanks to versions that helped them secure a place in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026.

India also saw an improvement in its rankings, won seven places and moved to 63rd.
