The goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny from Barcelona has renewed his contract until 2027, said the La Liga champions on Monday.
«The Polish keeper remains recognition and a prize for his great season between the sticks for Barca, after an unexpected arrival in a strange context,» wrote the Catalan club in a statement.
Szczesny was withdrawn from football when Barcelona signed him in October to replace injured Stop Marc-Andre ter Stegen, which was excluded for most of the season by a torn Patella tendon.
The 35-year-old was impressed when Barcelona La Liga and the Copa del Rey won, with Ter Stegen only returning to the team in the last weeks of the season.

The decision of Szczesny to stay and Barca signed that goalkeeper Joan Garcia from Espanyol, earlier in the summer, knew doubt about the future of Ter Stegen in the club.
The German International, 33, orders a high salary in Barcelona and Spanish media reports that the financial stick club would like to save in that respect.
Barca signed Garcia from Espanyol for 26.34 million euros ($ 31 million) for a six -year -old deal in June, and still has another goalkeeper in Inaki Pena in the books.
