Every year, we survey the current class of hikers to learn the ins and outs of their experiences in the trail. We strive to better understand what worked and what not, and why, in the hope of better educating future hikers and allowing as many people as possible to fulfill their dreams.

The next survey asks the demography of hikers, when people began, where the crowds, the hikers, LNT habits, the previous experience of hiking, the favorite and less favorite sections of hikers, individual hiker styles, what were the most useful resources (and less) useful, the favorite shelters, the team recommendations and more.

The survey will take approximately 20-25 minutes to complete. The results will be published here in The Trek at the end of this winter.
