It has been a preseason for hell for Newcastle United who has missed different transfers and the controversial star Alexander Isak who went a step from the club.
So far there have only been three income in the form of winger Anthony Elanga (£ 55 million), Center-back Malick Thiaw (£ 34 million) and goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale (loan).
Academy Prospect Park Seung-Sooo is expected to set the step for the first team, but perhaps only play back for Harvey Barnes and Anthony Gordon.
For manager Eddie Howe, a lot depends on the future of Isak. The Swedish striker scored 23 goals and set six more to fire Newcastle in the Champions League and will be the key for Newcastle that ends in the top five again.
How can Newcastle stand in line for the Premier League season 2025-26?
Howe works in a 4-3-3 formation with three physically robust and agile midfielders and fast attackers to compliment them in transition.
Gordon, who sustained an ankle injury during the preseason, will probably be fit for his season opener road to Aston Villa.
The best XI in Newcastle:
Nick Pope; Tino Livramento, Fabian Schar, Sven Botman, Lewis Hall; Bruno Gumaimaraes, Joelinton, Sandro Tonali; Anthony Elanga, Alexander Ikak, Anthony Gordon
