CANERO CRANBERRY CAMPSITE A West Carry

For some reason, the position in my energy bank seemed to decrease faster than normal in recent days. I still have a few days for my next stop, so today I entered extreme battery savings mode. I even went as far as off my phone whenever possible, but then I wasn’t sure if that was helping or causing it to drain so fast/even faster.

Therefore, you would expect not so many photos for today, but I struggled to stop. It was a wonderful day of all time and that makes me want the phone to be documenting all fun things.

Bodacious: «Very big or important, or something that people enjoy or admire.»

– From the Cambridge Dictionary (https://dictiony

Leaving the camp, I was immediately walking. The end of yesterday was more downhill and flat and prepared me at the foot of the Bigelow. The climb was fine, definitely many trippy roots but not as steep as other places …

The photo above was taken just before leaving a wonderful point of view. I liked the giant monolith type rock and then I was surprised when the sight of the horn pond and the horns appeared …

I thought the path took me to the two horns, but just south. To get to North Horn it was a secondary search for 0.2 miles. I attached to the white flames and obtained some views looking back on the road.

That is the horn from the north to the right.

At the top of South Horn there was another spectacular view of the spectacular and sat for the second breakfast. Hikers hurry and do not join too. The weather was once again premium and I absorb the moment …

The following miles were first category. Some of my favorites on the entire path of the Apalaches. It was down and then to a ridge line that covered the west peak of Bigelow Mountain and then Bigelow Avery Peak. The huge Flagstaff lake sat north and demanded my attention.

Can you see hikers on the horizon?

The Bodacious Bigelow’s (EC 201 Day)

Sitting with the other hikers on this summit, I said something in line that this is more than a view, it is a complete experience. What I was trying to convey was that they were 360 degrees, a complete scene, and no matter how much tried with photos and videos, being there in person is the only way to feel greatness. Sorry all. But, unfortunately, I tried to show beauty anyway.

Continuing.

Before addressing the trees again, I obtained a view of Little Bigelow Mountain where I would go.

The rest of the day walk was less glamorous, but after Little Bigelow was more crossed. I was close to obtaining a good video of slow movement of this giant pilant carpenter bird, but quite blurred …

Around 6:00 pm more or less, I was thinking internally, maybe I could move beyond my original goal. It never happens haha. Especially when I stop for the wonderful magic of trails! Upon entering a parking area, which would later discover that I wasn’t even on the path, I met Lebowski. It is a 2021 (?) In Haker who planned to establish the next day and the tasty chef food for hikers. For me, he offered a beer, a chair and some honey buns! It was nice to rest and chat with him.

I got off to Flagstaff Lake, the giant in all the photos and videos from above.

Going out of that, I was thinking that I had approximately 6 miles flat to walk. The estimation of the mileage was precise, but I underestimated the rating and there was no one, but two uphill blows. I had to overcome. Therefore, I was exhausted and passed as normal when I arrived at the camp in West Carry Pond Shelter.

I filled with water directly from the lake. They were after 7:00 pm that came here in West Carry Pond. However, again with the ponds … I think it’s a lake for me. Will madness never end?

In my tired and hungry state, finding this glorious view in the shelter was almost too too much for me …

I mean, don’t they look like the most impeccable and pristine chocolate spark cookies? I am a cookie monster and devoured several in a quick succession.

Thanks John and David! My body is replenished 😄

I was the only one in the shelter and I still went for the store. I set up and ate in record time. However, returning to the cookies … I did not feel good leaving them out for the bears to eat. Then, I ate them all! JK, JK haha. I ate a lot, but at least during the night, I kept them safe by putting all the tupperware in my pendant food bag …

The Locos sang a cradle song while I fell asleep. What a day! Another in the Top 201 of the TEC would say 😎.
