After being dropped off at the Devil’s Garden Trailhead in Arches National Park, I can’t fathom that I’m actually taking the first steps of my 800-mile journey to Zion National Park.
It’s not long before you pass several infamous arches and reach the “dark angel,” a towering rock formation appropriately named after its female figure and proudly facing north. I wonder if she will offer a protection spell for my path ahead.
