The shot of Ferran Torres from outside the area in the 23rd was a goal that attracted complaints from Mallorca because one of his players was on the ground after he was hit by the ball in the head in the structure.

Some Mallorca players stopped playing after their teammate had fallen, but the referee let the game continue. Mallorca complained immediately after Ferran scored.

The host went down a man 10 minutes later when Manu Morlanes was broadcast for a second yellow card for polluting Yamal on the run. His first yellow was because he protested against Barcelona’s second goal.

The second red card in the 39th came from Mallorca striker Vedat Muriqi, who touched the head of Barcelona’s goalkeeper Joan García with his left foot while he reached up for a high ball. The referee turned the map of yellow into red after a video review.

Yamal made it 3-0 in the second half of the stop time by touching in the top corner.

Barcelona, which won the competition last season after scoring 102 goals, was without experienced striker Robert Lewandowski due to an injury. Newly signed attacker Marcus Rashford entered as a replacement in the 69th.

Garcia didn’t have to work much in his debut in Barcelona after he was signed in a transfer of city rival Espanyol in the low season.

Regular starting goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen is out after an operation of the lower back and García began for Wojciech Szczęsny and Iñaki Peña, who replaced Teregen last season.
