The Sports Ministry has scheduled a meeting on December 3 to discuss the future of the Indian Super League (ISL), calling on the All India Football Federation (AIFF), ISL clubs and all stakeholders in the domestic football ecosystem.
Six meetings have been scheduled on Wednesday at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) headquarters in the national capital, including separate talks with the ISL clubs, I-League clubs and Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), the corporate body that ran the ISL for 15 years.
Meeting schedule:
ISL Clubs
Clubs from the I-League and lower divisions
FSDL
Potential commercial partners
Broadcasters and OTT platforms
Joint meeting with all stakeholders
All but one meeting – with the I-League and lower divisions – will take place in person, and the day will end with a joint conference with all stakeholders.

«It is also requested that representatives of Transaction Advisor namely KPMG India Services LLP may also be asked to attend all meetings to provide required clarifications at the proposed meeting,» the ministry’s communiqué said. Sports starsread.
The 2025-26 domestic men’s football season in India has remained uncertain, with several top clubs, including ISL champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant, suspending first-team activities.
The Master Rights Agreement (MRA) between FSDL and AIFF ends this month, and a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the next commercial partner has received no bids.
As a result, the federation approached the Supreme Court with representation from ISL clubs, who later also met the Sports Minister. That is why a meeting is now planned for Wednesday.
The ISL clubs had previously met at the Football House, where Doordarshan was one of the options discussed as a broadcast partner for the 2025-2026 season. It is also expected to be present at the SAI headquarters on Wednesday.
