Turkey goalkeeper Ozer leaves camp ‘without permission’

Goalkeeper Berke Ozer left the Turkish training camp «without permission» after missing selection for the team that defeated Bulgaria, the Turkish Football Federation said on Sunday.

The Lille player returned to his club after being left out of the squad for the World Cup qualifier in Sofia, which was won 6-1 by Turkey.

“Berke Ozer left our training center after returning to Istanbul, citing his non-selection for yesterday’s Bulgaria-Turkey match, without permission from our staff,” the federation said in a statement.
