Fermin Lopez scored a hat-trick and Marcus Rashford scored two goals as Barcelona beat Olympiacos 6-1 in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Barcelona took full advantage when the Greek champions were reduced to ten men after a controversial red card for Santiago Hezze in the second half. He scored four goals to complete the rout.
It was Lopez’s first hat-trick of his career, with Lamine Yamal also on the scoresheet from the penalty spot.
Olympiacos had no response when Hezze was shown a second yellow card in the 57th minute, despite replays appearing to show he had not made contact with Marc Casado, who tried to pull him back.

Two clinical finishes from Lopez had given Barcelona a 2-0 lead at half-time. Then the Spanish champions, with the extra man, overwhelmed Olympiacos with four goals in eleven minutes – starting with Yamal’s penalty.
Rashford, on loan from Manchester United, has now scored four goals in three games in the Champions League this season.
