«Unbelievable» -Fulham -Manager Marco Silva Blasts Var -Decisions during Chelsea Encounter

Fulham manager Marco Silva criticized the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) after several close calls had gone to his side during the Premier League match against Chelsea on Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

«How you do not allow such a goal is incredible. Incredible,» Silva said TNT -SPORT.

«We can talk about many things, but I would rather not say anything anymore, because I will be punished. And I don’t want to sit on the couch in the next game. I don’t want to pay any fines,» he added.

The first instance took place in the first half when Joshua King scored to lead the visitor. However, his strike was excluded by VAR due to an error by Rodrigo Muniz in the structure. Muniz had stepped on the foot of Trevoh Chalobah.

Referee Robert Jones also consulted the VAR before he granted the penalty that led to Chelsea’s second goal in the second half, after the ball had hit Ryan Sessegnon’s arm in the box. Minutes later the ball defender Malo Gusto hit Chelsea’s penalty area, but Fulham did not get a penalty.

«Similar things, for the opposition (s) for us, they decide in a different way. All decisions of the VAR have made all the referee’s decisions a huge impact on the game,» Silva said.

Former Chelsea -Midfielder and television -expert Joe Cole chose the side of Silva.

«It is an absolutely shameful performance of VAR. We have to remember that when we watch football, it means so much for many people and VAR feels disinfected and clinically – it doesn’t work. Let’s be honest,» Cole said up TNT -SPORT.
