Manager Arne Slot has praised the impact Mohamed Salah has had on Liverpool during his nine years at the club, and hopes the Egyptian forward will win two more trophies with the club before he leaves.
Salah, who scored 255 goals for Liverpool and helped the country win two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, two League Cups and one Champions League trophy, announced last week he would leave at the end of the season.
Slot said Salah was available for Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final at Manchester City.
“He trained with us yesterday and today and is available for tomorrow’s match,” he told reporters on Friday, praising the club’s third-highest goalscorer of all time.
«It’s incredible what he has done for this club, for so many years, every three days. He scored the goals he scored, provided the assists, had the impact he had on this club, won the trophies… I can only hope he can add two more trophies by the end of the season.»
Liverpool are fifth in the Premier League, 21 points behind leaders Arsenal, but have reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League and will play Paris St Germain away on Wednesday.
