Liverpool right back Jeremie Frimpong will be out on Thursday until the end of the international break, manager Arne Slot confirmed Thursday.
In a press conference before the match prior to the defending champion of the title defender to Newcastle United 26 August (IST), the Dutch coach said that Dutch international is out with a hamstring injury, which he picked up during the Reds League opener to Bournemouth.
«Jeremy picked up the injury during the game (against Bournemouth). The medical team has assessed him, it is a hamstring injury and he will end up until the end of the international break,» said Slot.

Slot now has an injury crisis to manage, because both of his recognized right backs, Conor Bradley and Frimpong, are now a sidelines due to injuries.
The match against Newcastle will also be in the spotlight, since the Transfersaga is currently taking all the headlines between two clubs for striker Alexander Isak. However, the manager refused to entertain speculation.
