The United States went up early when Biyendolo took a cross from Emma Sears and calmly scored her 25th international goal in the 11th minute. Biyendolo was a captain for the competition.

«I say this all the time, it is such an honor to even play for the national team, to be part of Kampen. But to be a captain, I’m going to abstain this day forever,» said Biyendolo.

At the back left Rodriguez started in her debut and scored at a rebound goal in the 42nd minute to bring the score to 2-0.

After the break, Sears kept the ball in the game and sent it to Olivia Moultrie, who crossed the goal in the 66th minute to Ryan. It was Ryan’s first international goal.

Thompson came from the bank and scored in her second consecutive game in the 86th minute.

Rose Lavelle, who comes from Cincinnati, was submitted as a replacement in the 87th minute by coach Emma Hayes after the crowd started singing her name in TQL Stadium. Lavelle scored in Thursday’s game and made her first performance of the year for the national team after an ankle operation.

«Emma had said she had stopped me at the end for a small cameee, so that was always the plan,» said Lavelle. «I really appreciated that. I think it is always special to get home.»

Twenty -four players have made their debut for the national team in 24 games under Hayes, who have the task of preparing the team for qualifying for the World Cup World.

«I think we are still pushing. We want to get a game that we score five goals. But I think what we want now is the opportunity to place someone in the line -up, and that there is a consistency and the level is not falling,» said Biyendolo.

The United States were without many of its players established in Europe, including Lindsay Heaps and Crystal Dunn, who rested Hayes after the European season.

Ireland also missed a few stars, including Katie McCabe, who was released after the season with Arsenal, and Denise O’Sullivan, who plays for the courage in North Carolina and is injured.

«I feel that everyone is not only trusting on the process, but does all the things we ask them to do,» said Hayes. «Everyone has shown themselves so well.»

The United States will play Canada on Audi Field in Washington on Wednesday.
