The Premier League teams wore red poppies on their shirts during weekend matches.
The poppies are worn during the first two weeks of November as a tribute to the sacrifice of the British armed forces in the First World War.
Activities such as periods of silence and wreaths were laid before kick-off, while the players and match officials wore special shirts embroidered with poppies.
In the past, players have chosen not to play with the poppy. Former Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic refused to wear it because it reminded him of the time his village was bombed when he was 12 years old.
