The list
I am sure that everyone has their own reasons, but here is my list of ‘Why I am walking for AT’,
- To pursue the dream of completing one of the big-3 through walks
- Have an adventure of your life
- To start my retirement with style
- To be busy living
- To challenge myself
- To put into shape
- To see if I’m crazy enough to complete the more than 2,000 miles
- To inspire others to dream and maybe pursuing their own dreams someday
- Decompress after more than 40 years in the technological field
- Meet people from all kinds of different parts of the country/world
Influences
I have read innumerable books, magazines and blogs. It has been a borderline obsession with me in the last 20 years. Thanks to the authors Bill Bryson, Bill ‘Sky’ Walker, Derick ‘The unlikely through Lugo’ Lugo and Gary Sizer: his books have inspired me and they have helped me dream of one day to end through a walk. And thanks to the bloggers
