Goalkeeper Andre Onana will not be involved in the opening day of Manchester United against Arsenal in Old Trafford on Sunday.
Onana was not mentioned under the team for the match against the Gunners, with Turkish Shot stopper Altay Bayindir mentioned in the starting XI in his place.
The Cameroonian misses the competition if he wants to recover from a hamstring injury. Onana was not for United in one of the preseason matches. Tom Heaton was mentioned among the replacements.
United wants to start the 2025-26 on a positive note because it seems to be recovering from an ABject Show in the 2024-25 season. It has undergone a revision of his attack and Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko brought in to strengthen his firepower.
